Starbucks in India

Finally, after considering the Indian market for decades, Starbucks is soon opening its first store in India. Last week it signed a deal with TATA Global Beverages Ltd. as an equal joint venture. As coffee drinking has doubled since 1990s among Indian middle class youth, it was only the matter of time before Starbucks jumped into Indian market. Now they have announced their arrival, we are waiting to see how they approach the market which is dominated by Café Coffee Day, the country’s largest cafe chain with about 12,00 stores.
